The Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation (ILCHF) is part of a group of funders who are piloting an intervention to ‘saturate’ three communities with multiple levels of parenting supports with the goal of improving children’s kindergarten readiness. The multiple levels will range from public communication strategies on the universal end, to home visiting programs on the targeted end of the continuum.
ILCHF is planning to fund the evaluation component of the project, with a budget of $100,000 per year, over three years. Grant awards will be made at the end of February 2021. The funders group has selected Illinois Action for Children (Action) to lead the project and Action has selected the following communities to participate in the three year project which will include one planning year and then two years of implementation:
We are prioritizing applications from evaluators in locations relatively near these sites to minimize travel expenses.
The evaluation should be a mixed method design and be focused around answering the research questions identified by the funders. Additional research questions may be identified in partnership with Action and the three communities.
Attached to this email you will find:
Note that applications will all be submitted electronically using the link on the ILCHF website.
There will be an informational conference call on December 1 at 10am.
Applications are due on January 5, 2021.
Please contact me with any questions, and to receive the number for the conference call.
