The William G. McGowan Charitable Fund, based in Chicago, is the living legacy of William G. McGowan.  As a family foundation, the McGowan Fund addresses poverty with extensive grant-making programs in three areas: Education, Human Services, and Healthcare & Medical Research. Programs are supported in five geographic regions of the country. Throughout its work the McGowan Fund values evidence based practices, sustainable results and principled leadership.  The Board and staff leadership believe in organizational mapping to define strategies and benchmarks of success; they know that measurement and tracking strengthens programs and organizations.

This is an exciting opportunity to continue building the body of research to ensure that the McGowan Fund has the necessary mechanisms in place to effectively assess current strategies and use the insights gathered to optimize impact.   The ideal candidate will have technical expertise from the field of strategy, evaluation, impact and the ability to act as a thought partner.
